A Superb Lacquer Tray- Mt. Fuji Scene –Taisho/Showa

This fine lacquer tray has a highly detailed scene of Mt. Fuji in the distance with stars above and many trees in the foreground. It uses both gold and silver makie lacquer to give the scene the effect of looking at Fuji-San in the full moonlight. The entire makie design is on a shiny black roiro lacquer base. The tray measures 11 ¾”diameter by ¾” thick at the rim. It is in excellent condition with no chips or nicks...
