Japanese Lacquer Cup Imitating Tamba, Shigarake Pottery

Interesting Japanese lacquer libation cup imitating Tamba or Shigarake pottery with glaze drips running down the sides, hand thrown foot, and cut sides. The interior is lacquered in gold over black with wonderful patina from use. The exterior lacquered in chocolate brown with dark brown drips, a carved and and gold lacquer Kanji character, and a small copper Kiku grommet with attached silk cord.
