An important example of early 20th century workmanship of India's Jain minority, this sterling silver necklace is designed around iconic figures in high relief. Krishna, the central figure, is depicted as a cowherd leaning against one of his cattle as he plays his flute. A three-headed serpent hovers over the deity and he is flanked by ten finely detailed peacocks that curve upward to form the sides of the necklace.
