Late Edo/Early Meiji Crackle Glaze Dish

A fine Japanese pottery raised rim dish with crackle glaze and an design of a long wall or hills running diagonally through pine forests. It could be a Japanese potters interpretation of the Great Wall of China or could represent a steep mountain range. Either way, the diagonal line is so perfectly painted that you would swear is is raised - but it, in fact, flush with the bottom of the piece. There is a mark in the lower right of the dish but we have been unable to get it translated...
