A Late Meiji/Taisho Blue & White Oval Bowl - Mt. Fuji

This is an Japanese blue and white oval shallow shaped bowl decorated by a transfer design of a dragon on the side of – or inside of – Fujiyama. The bowl is more of a squared end oval in shape. The dragon flies amidst several clouds – in one of which is a chip about ¼” diameter. It measures 8” long and is 5 ¾” wide by 1” deep. Excellent condition with the exception of the one chip in the one of the clouds. It dates from the late Meiji period, circa 1915-1925...
