Sung/Yuan Celadon Eared Jarlet-12th/13th cty

A beautiful eared jarlet with an even olive-green tone,this example has a typical lower border of carved lotus petals with a carved scrolling leafy vine on the top half. The piece has numerous cracks in the glaze, but does not appear to have been broken. This one is not a reproduction. Most probably an export piece meant for Southeast Asia. Measures 4-1/2" in diameter, by about 3-3/4"high. Fine example of early Chinese pottery from 700-800 years ago.
