A Small Round Japanese Lacquer Kogo – Makie Design

This is a sweet little round kogo (covered box) with a fine makie gold design of a woman seated on some rocks – with a group of large flowers to her left and overhead. There are areas of the design done in silver lacquer and the woman’s kimono has a number of small square pieces of different colored lacquer to enhance the beauty of the kimono.
