A Hirado Censer (Koro) – Reticulated – Meiji

This is a fine reticulated Hirado koro with a design on the sides of multiple colored flowers and leaves. These are done in greens, blue, orange and gold. The rim of the domed shaped reticulated lid has a rim of red flowers. On the sides of the koro are two mask heads of mythical creatures that form handles for the koro.

The koro measures 4” high to the top of the domed lid and is 3 3/4” diameter. It is in excellent condition...
