A Small Blanc de Chine Foo Dog on Platform - Qing

This is a small but pretty little blanc de chine Foo Dog is shown sitting on a rectangular platform. It measures 2 ¼” high by 1 5/8” wide by 1 ½” thick and is in excellent condition. Hard to date – the original owner dated it to the Ming dynasty – we will be much more conservative and date it to the late Qing dynasty. The small firing flaws on the inside could indicate the earlier date – but with so many reproduction ceramics flowing out of China, we will go with the later date...
