Fine Japanese ceramic figural group of three monkeys on a large ball. We are having a very hard time deciding whether this piece is of Hirado porcelain or Kutani, The unglazed base has the fine smooth paste touch characteristic of Hirado, Also the very fine grainy detailing to the ball and to the robes on two of the monkeys would indicate a Hirado decision...
