Two scholar's objects made of boxwood-huangyangmuSeptember 2018 Auction by Far East Asian ArtA small ovoid box of compressed shape together with a small vase-shaped container. Both box and vase of dark brown boxwood. Probably meant for medicine. Qing, first half of 19th cent. Box: D 4.6 cm. Vase: H 3.5 cm. Condition: Tiny repair to neck of the vase-shaped container, otherwise excellent, with great deep honey patina due to handling.
