SHIBUTA Toshiaki An attractive and well-sculpted modern, bottle-shaped vase of Bizen-ware. The body of the vase tapers upward to end in a short neck w. a small mouth. The rounded sides are rendered in broad and roughly carved bands running anti-clockwise. The colour of the piece changes from redish brown over grey to a dark metallic brown w. minute specks of lighter coloured material. Artist’s mark in the bottom: Shibuta. Document for the piece.
