A Chinese Peking Glass Brush Pot - Cracked Ice - Qing

This is a heavy Peking Glass Brush Pot in a rare form of Peking Glass known as "Cracked Ice". This type if glass was originally a 16th century Venetian technique which spread across Europe and was revived in England in the 19th century. It apparently then made its way to China in the late Qing dynasty.

This brush pot measures 6" high and is 6" in diameter. It weighs 4 1/2 pounds (2.04 kilograms). It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other issues...
