18th Century Japanese Porcelain Jar Spring Blooms Decor

A finely decorated 18th century Imari style, Hizen ware jar. Three Friends of Winter decoration on one side and summer blooms on the verso. Decorated delicately in soft, clean blue underglaze depicting prunus, bamboo, peonies, rockery, chrysanthemums and paulownia with blooms and young bamboo leaves picked out in persimmon and gilt enamel. The porcelain body of refined, white kaolin. Excellent condition (cover missing.) The blue in our pictures appears a little richer due to the studio lighting...
