Fine ink stick with Guxiang Zhai, Dated Jiaqing Period.

An ink stick of oblong shape decorated with a lotus among rocks on the front side and the inscription: Guxiang Zhai. On the back side a tripod with lotus and fruit.  Made by the famous ink workshop of Hu Kaiwen from Huizhou Jixi County in Anhui province. Qing, early 19th cent. Dated: Jiaqing (1796–1820). Qing. L 9 cm, W 3.5 cm. Condition: Excellent.
