A Qingbai (Yingqing) Waisted Bud Vase – Song to Ming

A lovely little Qingbai bud vase with a narrow waist dividing the piece into a modified double gourd shape. The vase has a molded (or possibly even hand carved) design in low relief that resembles overlapping descending feathers. This feature is further enhanced by the soft turquoise glaze that flows in pools in the interstices of the design.
