A Pottery Head of Chieftain – Majapahit

This is a fine three dimensional sculptured earthenware head of a Majapahit Chieftain mounted on a wood stand. The head itself measures 5 1/2" high by 5" wide by 5 1/4" deep. It is in excellent condition. The head was acquired from a collection of an Indonesian collector of antiquities and was purported to date from circa 1350. We have no provenance to that effect but do believe that it could very well be that old...
