Register and Petition For Approval From The Auctioneer

If not registered with VerVendi auction services, read "Initiating registration" on the Registering with VerVendi supported auctioneers fact sheet.

If already registered with VerVendi auction services, request a paddle from the auctioneer: Read "Obtaining a paddle" on the Registering with VerVendi supported auctioneers fact sheet.

Begin Bidding

1) Find a lot of interest with an auctioneer having approved your request to bid (if the auctioneer requires separate approval for each auction event, the process will be a nearly seamless single step when attempting a first bid.)

2) Input a bid

      a) Must be equal to or greater than the "Minimum New Bid"

            i) The 'Minimum New Bid' is equal to the 'Opening Bid' or...

            i) .. one 'Minimum Increment' above the 'Current Bid'.

      b) Until the 'Reserve' has been 'Met', bids will be executed in full up to the 'Reserve' (and then incrementally as follows next under 2c.)

      c) After the 'Reserve' has been 'Met', bids are executed one increment above competing bids until the bidder's limit has been reached.

iv) Bids in excess of the "Minimum New Bid" may be made in confidence: Auctioneers are not privy to the amount and VerVendi will, on behalf of the bidder, commit the minimum amount necessary in competition for the lot.

3) Hit "Review Bid"

      a) If not equal or greater than the "Minimum New Bid", the bidder will be prompted to return and try again (this could also result if a competing bid is received just prior to the current, valid attempt.)

      b) If meeting the above criteria and received before bidding is closed, the bidder is asked to confirm their bid before inputting username (e-mail address), password, and hitting "Submit Bid".

      c) Other options within the "Review" stage include password retrieval and login to the bidder's auction services account (where all lots bid on, with all supported auctioneers, can be managed.)

4) Hit "Submit Bid"

      a) The bidder is informed of the result of their bid.

            i) If the reserve has moved their bid

ii) If any reserve has been met or not

iiii) What is the current bid (moved by reserve or competing bids)

iv) If you are the high bidder

iv) If you have been outbid by a competing bid and what "Current minimum bid" is now required (as a result of your bid against a competing bid limit.)

iiii) To what limit VerVendi will execute bids on your behalf against competing bids

      b) Other options within the "Submit" stage include a "Bid Again?" button, "View Bid History" for the lot, and login to the bidder's auction services account

3) Read the Auction Services Management regarding bidding on all active auctions from one account interface
(available from bidding pages and some venue and auctioneer pages)
