Antique tea bowl from Tofukuji, Kyoto & Zen inscription

A very interesting raku tea bowl covered in a beige glaze with inscription in Prussian blue. On the body the Zen Buddhist phrase: “The Sound of the Stream is the Extensive, Long Tongue [of Buddha].†Stamped: Tofuku-ji, Toden yo (Toden Kiln). Tofuku-ji being one of the great Zen temples in Kyoto. It comes with a non original storage box. Japan: Meiji, c. 1900. H 8.5 cm, D 11.6 cm.Condition: No breaks or cracks. Minor wear due to use.
